Organization Validated (OV) SSL Certificates

Organisation Validation (OV) SSL Certificates:  where the Certification Authority checks the right of the applicant to use a specific domain name PLUS it conducts some vetting of the organisation.  Additional vetted company information is displayed to customers when clicking on the Secure Site Seal, giving enhanced visbility in who is behind the site and associated enhanced trust.

Before issuing the SSL certificate, the CA performs a rigorous validation procedure, including checking the applicant's business credentials (such as the Articles of Incorporation) and verifying the accuracy of its physical and Web addresses. An Organizationally Validated SSL Certificate is an excellent website security option for any business conducting online transactions and accepting sensitive data, such as credit-card numbers, from customers.
